Who we are
Nepal Treasure Carbon Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”) operates nepaltreasurecarbon.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, where it goes and how long we keep it. If you have any questions, email connect@nepaltreasurecarbon.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you use the “Register a project” form we ask you for your name, email address, phone number (optional), organisation or community (optional) and role (optional). You may also voluntarily describe your project and list or attach supporting documents.
When you send us an email or use the contact page, we receive the contents of your message and your email address.
Information processed automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring page and the date and time of each request — for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to review and respond to project registrations, screen project ideas, follow up on enquiries and maintain a record of the people we are in conversation with. We do not sell personal information.
Third-party AI processing
When you complete the registration form, the free-text description you provide is sent to a third-party artificial-intelligence service (Anthropic or OpenAI) to generate an automated, first-pass project screening note. This processing happens as you enter the text, so you can see the generated note before you submit anything. Only the text-based fields needed to generate that note are sent — category, stage, description, suggested standard and methodology. Your name, email address and uploaded documents are not sent to the AI service.
How we send submissions
Your completed registration — including the summary and any documents you upload — is sent by email to our team using Resend (resend.com). Resend processes the message and attachments solely in order to deliver them to us.
How long we keep it
Registration submissions and the messages they contain are retained for as long as we need them to assess and progress a project conversation. If a submission does not lead to an active collaboration, we keep it for up to 24 months from the date of submission so that we can respond to follow-up enquiries and defend against legal claims, after which it is deleted or anonymised. If a conversation becomes an active project, we keep the relevant information for the life of that project and as required by law.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — subject to any legal obligation we have to keep it. Email connect@nepaltreasurecarbon.com and we will respond. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it where we can.
Links to other sites
This site links to third-party websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced on this page.
