An architecture for discussion
The profile explores registry-linked carbon assets alongside digital infrastructure and regional or global market connections. It is a development concept, separate from the work of issuing and authorising credits.
The three proposed layers are carbon-asset records, digital infrastructure, and markets and settlement. Each would require its own governance and implementation arrangements.
- 01
Carbon assets — existing assets, jointly developed projects and registry-linked records.
- 02
Digital infrastructure — digitisation, tokenisation, wallets and asset clearing.
- 03
Markets and settlement — domestic and cross-border connections, including a stablecoin-settlement concept.
A clear boundary
No token, wallet, investment product, liquidity promise or settlement service is being offered here. The concept should not be read as a claim of regulatory approval.
Institutional dialogue can help assess whether a future architecture could strengthen traceability and appropriate market access while respecting Nepal’s governance and data requirements.
