Nikesh Adhikari is the Founder of Nepal Treasure Carbon (NTC) and a Nepali climate entrepreneur. He has played a pioneering role in advancing Nepal’s private carbon sector and promoting climate finance through community-based carbon initiatives. As a former diplomat, he represented Nepal at the United Nations General Assembly contributing to discussions on climate action and sustainable development. He also serves as the Chairman of The Promised Group, a diversified business group with interests in infrastructure, renewable energy, technology, and sustainable development.

Samiksha Baral serves as the Managing Director of Nepal Treasure Carbon (NTC), where she focuses on strategic direction, partnerships and stakeholder engagements. With her background in journalism and International Relations, she works to advance carbon initiatives that promote sustainable development, improve rural livelihoods, and support Nepal’s participation in international carbon markets

Welcome to Nepal Treasure Carbon. With over two decades of experience in climate change, carbon markets, and corporate decarbonisation—including my previous role as Lead Climate Change Auditor at Bureau Veritas—I have dedicated my career to driving high-integrity climate solutions.

Having overseen the successful registration and issuance of carbon credits for over 100 projects under CDM, VCS, and CCER standards, as well as contributing to Chinese national greenhouse gas standards, my focus is on applying this expertise to Nepal. Together, we advise organisations and communities on carbon-peaking strategies, offset development, and zero-carbon implementation pathways.
